Hello, I'm Abbey,

 

My life ever since I remember has always been surrounded by animals. I always had horses and dogs whilst growing up. Since I was very young my dream was always to be a veterinary nurse or just anything to do with animals. I ended up going down a different route and ended up being a clinical pharmacy technician so working with humans but my love for animals never left me. I unfortunately lost my last horse so had a little time I didn't have any animals - I found this hard! So... it didn't last long. I ended up going to dogs trust and got a Boxer cross GSD called Kendra. There started quite a journey... she has taught me so much about reactivity in dogs! She is a very complex girl but it has been so rewarding seeing the improvements in her.

 

This is how I met April who helped us with Kendra and taught me everything I know!

 

You will often see me running some of the Reconnect walks. These helped Kendra so much in allowing her to be able to co exist with other dogs and people. I wanted to be a part of running these moving forwards... and they are my favourite part of this role. I also help with 1:1 training and now have my own growing client base within Pawcentric. I am enjoying learning and progressing - I've completed my canine first aid training, canine body language and and 2-day career as a dog trainer course with plans to keep expanding on this.

I joined Pawcentric in September 2025 and am loving it! I fit it in alongside my day to day job. I am immensely grateful to April for giving me this opportunity and excited for what the next 6 months will bring.
