Lorraine - Assistant training director & manages the sits/ walks/ pop-ins

I’ve been part of Pawcentric Pathways (formally Click Trick) from pretty much the beginning. What started as a working relationship to train and help my Portuguese Water Dog, Hux, quickly grew into something much more. From the day we bought Hux home at eight weeks old, he has been a complex boy; my desire to understand and help him enjoy life was my driving force to pursue a career in this industry.  Later, I re-homed Rae (yes there is a theme, if you know, you know!) the German Shepherd when she was just nine months old to complete our family.

I wanted to learn as much about dogs both independently and with April’s mentorship, belief and support. From early on, April and I shared the same vision for how we wanted to support dogs and their care givers—something that made building this business together feel incredibly natural.

This industry can be tough at times. It’s emotional, demanding, and sometimes quite isolating, which is why having that shared support has always meant so much to me. Not only does it help us provide the best possible experience for our clients, but it also reminds me how important it is to truly love what you do—and who you work alongside.

In early 2025, I had to step away quite suddenly due to a family situation. It was a difficult time, and being away from the work I love wasn’t easy or anywhere near as fulfilling. Over the months that followed, I gradually found my way back—starting with walks and reconnecting with familiar clients—until eventually making the decision to return fully later that year.

Coming back felt right. Everything we had built together was still there, just stronger and more resilient. Now, as second-in-command, I’m proud to be part of and help manage a growing team that genuinely cares about every dog and every person we work with.

The privilege, satisfaction and pure pride seeing dogs progress and working through their underlying emotions, all the while supporting their caregiver is something I’ll never take for granted.
